255 Berry is a 100-unit condominium development. The project offers 2 bedroom + den/2.5 bath homes ranging 1,876 to 2,284 sq ft. There are two types of layouts: townhomes with ground-floor entry stoops and upper-level flats. Architects McLarand Vasquez Emsiek & Partners created a U-shaped building maximizing views of Mission Bay. The building is built atop pilings placed at 130 to 140 foot depths to compensate for the soil on the site. Amenities include a gated garage, concierge service and a rooftop garden. The site also abuts a public park and fronts a boardwalk along the estuary. Landscaping was designed by Cliff Lowe and Associates and interiors were designed by Laurie Ghielmetti.

355 Bryant (at Second Street)

Originally home to General Electric, 355 Bryant Street was designed by noted architect George Applegarth in 1916. In 1991, the building was converted into 44 Live/Work lofts featuring the building's original exposed timber ceilings and columns, brick interior walls and wood-framed or industrial windows with brick arches. The lofts range in square footage is from 997 to 2800.

The Cape Horn Lofts is a sixteen unit live/work conversion of the historically significant brick and timber Cape Horn Warehouse built in 1907. With the approval and close guidance from one of San Francisco's historical societies (The Landmarks Board), the developers have retained the building's original architecture and style, such as wood-encased glazed-glass windows, wooden high beams, and red brick exterior and interior. Clocktower (461 2nd at Second Street)

The Clock Tower, once home to San Francisco' Schmidt Lithography Company, has been converted into 127 live/work spaces in the heart of the South of Market Historical District. The original brick-and-timber plant was built by Max Schmidt in 1907 and expanded to include a six-story concrete building. On the site where artists and printers once produced classic California Fruit Box labels and posters for the Panama Pacific International Exposition, a new generation of entrepreneurs and loft lovers can now live and work. A San Francisco Landmark, the Clock Tower features a lush landscaped central courtyard and four floors of deeded parking. The average loft size is over 1200 square feet, with lofts ranging between 600 and 4000 square feet. All units feature completed kitchens and bathrooms. Two elevators and a dramatic stairway lead to the light-filled lofts. The building's interior and many of the individual units feature brick walls and timber columns, reminiscent of lofts in Paris and New York. Others offer powerful concrete columns and sweeping expanses. The ceilings are 12 to 20 feet in height, and in many units, timber beams crisscross high above. Sunlight pours into lofts through large industrial windows, skylights and light courts, Many lofts feature exciting bay, city and bridge views.

Embarcadero Lofts (300 Beale at Folsom)

Frederick H. Meyer, founder of the California College of Arts and Crafts, designed this Moderne commercial building. The original four-story, concrete and stucco building was completed in 1937 and a five-story addition at the rear was added in 1944. The building was originally used by the Coffin-Redington Drug Company for offices, laboratories, manufacturing, warehousing and shipping. It was converted into 53 "luxurious" lofts in 1997. One of the many other commercial buildings and residences designed by Mr. Meyer is the Cadillac Hotel, San Francisco Landmark 176.

Jackson Brewery / 1489 Folsom (1489 Folsom at 11th Street)

Entered on the National Register of Historic Places on April 8, 1993, San Francisco City Landmark No. 199. The historic Jackson Brewery holds a special place in San Francisco commercial and architectural history. Founded in the 1850's, the brewery began operations in these new quarters in 1912. The Architecture, a combination of decorative motifs and traditional building materials, was considered a symbol of the emerging commercial style in the 1920"s and signified the beginning of America's Automobile revolution. The Marquee consists of 55 lofts with private lobby and entrance, exclusive concierge services, private roof-deck terrace, additional storage space and private secured parking. The mix consists of studio, one bedroom and two bedroom units ranging from approximately 900 to 2,100 square feet.

Mill Building (720 York at 19th Street)

The Mill Building is a unique live/work loft community. This classic brick and timber building was constructed in 1879 as a woolen mill. Over the past 120 years, the classic architecture of William Curlet has served the City well. There are 16 commercial units on the first floor and 29 residential units on the second floor. The original structure was designed by the Reid Brothers architects, renowned for such buildings as the Fairmont Hotel and the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego.

Oriental Warehouse (650 Delancey at Brannan)

The oriental Warehouse is a San Francisco designated landmark built in 1867 by The Pacific Mail Steamship Company. By the 1880's San Francisco was a bustling port with at the Oriental Warehouse playing a central role as the primary distribution point for imports of coffee, tea rice, and silk from the Orient. The Oriental Warehouse has 66 dramatic lofts with 18 foot ceilings. The lofts range in size from 1350 to 1800 square feet and are uniquely configured to work as one bedroom plus den, two bedroom or two bedroom plus den floor plans. Every loft has two bathrooms and washer/dryer hookup.

Potrero Square Lofts (701 Minnesota at 19th Street)

The structure was built in 1906 by T.A. Roberts as a liquor and wine warehouse and bottling plant. Later known as the Kessler Building, it was used for many years as an important warehouse. South Park was created in 1854 by Englishman, George Gordon in an attempt to recreate a London residential block. For several years it was a very stylish address, inhabited by many transplanted southerners. South Park runs parallel to, and takes its name from, the park located south of the prevailing center of town. The South Park lofts have a stucco exterior reminiscent of the South West, although the developer has dubbed them Contemporary Mediterranean. This is a ground up (built from the ground up) project in the heart of the South Park. The architecture for the project was done by Ramon Zambrano.
